QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in working with students in a teaching or supervisory capacity. Ability to work with students and parents effectively. Counseling, computer, and organizational skills required. Knowledge of strategies to improve discipline.             

 

REPORTS TO: Principal                  

 

JOB GOALS: To assist with improving student behavior through character development to increase student achievement. 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body and keeps records of disciplinary actions.
  2. Provide interventions to students via software-based behavior management program.
  3. Assists with monitoring of student attendance, and cooperates with district and/or county attendance supervisors for investigative follow-up actions.
  4. Assists in safety inspections and safety drill activities.
  5. Confers with members of the professional staff and/or parents concerning student problems that hinder satisfactory behavioral or academic adjustment.
  6. Responsible for early identification of students experiencing behavior problems.
  7. Assists with student behavior management plans.
  8. Utilizes strategies as outlined in the school’s Discipline Plan and according to the Principal.
  9. Assists with transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services when necessary.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.
  11. Works with others consistently in a cooperative and respectful manner.

TERMS: Salary according to District salary schedule and credential held. Salary schedule and work year established by the Superintendent.  

    

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in compliance with the Board’s policy on evaluation and professional personnel.
