QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in working with students in a teaching or supervisory capacity. Ability to work with students and parents effectively. Counseling, computer, and organizational skills required. Knowledge of strategies to improve discipline.
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOALS: To assist with improving student behavior through character development to increase student achievement.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body and keeps records of disciplinary actions.
- Provide interventions to students via software-based behavior management program.
- Assists with monitoring of student attendance, and cooperates with district and/or county attendance supervisors for investigative follow-up actions.
- Assists in safety inspections and safety drill activities.
- Confers with members of the professional staff and/or parents concerning student problems that hinder satisfactory behavioral or academic adjustment.
- Responsible for early identification of students experiencing behavior problems.
- Assists with student behavior management plans.
- Utilizes strategies as outlined in the school’s Discipline Plan and according to the Principal.
- Assists with transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.
- Works with others consistently in a cooperative and respectful manner.
TERMS: Salary according to District salary schedule and credential held. Salary schedule and work year established by the Superintendent.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in compliance with the Board’s policy on evaluation and professional personnel.
