QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure as a (LPC) Licensed Professional Counselor, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, LPES or master’s level social worker (in accordance with Medicaid requirements for providing RBHS). Experience counseling students. Proven ability to work with students with social/emotional/behavioral problems. Ability to work as a team member with families, teachers, etc. Ability to assess and diagnose social/emotional/behavioral problems using the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. Excellent skills in providing individual/group/family theraphy, family support services, crisis management, behavior modification, and psychosocial rehabilitative services to students. Ability to supervise RBHS non-clinical staff as they provide selected RBHS services. Ability to maintain and oversee Medicaid documentation in accordance with Medicaid guidelines.
REPORTS TO: Principal/RBHS Clinical Director/Director of Student Services
JOB GOALS: To supervise and provide direct services in a RBHS program to reduce maladaptive behaviors, improve interaction styles/problem-solving/coping strategies, increase student learning, and enable students to function successfully at school, at home, and in the community.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide RBHS to Students Who Qualify for Services
- Assess the student, assign a diagnosis code, and determine if the student qualifies for RBHS
- Develop the individualized plan of care (IPOC) in collaboration with the parent, student, and others as appropriate and review it by conducting a follow-up assessment every 90 days modifying the plan as needed
- Provide individual/group/family therapy, family support services, behavior modification, crisis management, and psychosocial rehabilitative services to students in accordance with the IPOC
- Maintain all required documentation and all necessary forms in the student’s RBHS record completing all paperwork correctly and in a timely manner as prescribed by the Medicaid guidelines
- Complete pre-enrollment training workshops as required and attend required staff development sessions
- Maintain licensure, as required
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal/RBHS Clinical Director/Director of Student & Administrative Services
- Works with others consistently in a cooperative and respectful manner.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Supervision and Consultation to other school level staff providing RBHS services
- Direct the work of and provide supervision and case consultation to RBHS Non-Clinical who are providing RBHS at the assigned schools a minimum of every 30 days and more frequently as needed, and maintain all required supervision and case consultation record
- Assure that services are provided in a safe, efficient manner according to Medicaid standards and standards of clinical practice
- Coordinate treatment with other agencies involved with the student and document the coordination
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal/RBHS Clinical Director/Director of Student & Administrative Services, as relates to the RBHS program
- Works with others consistently in a cooperative and respectful manner.
