Description

QUALIFICATIONS: Counseling, Special Education, Social Work, or, Psychology experience preferred. Knowledge of strategies to improve discipline. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field minimal requirement.

 

JOB GOALS: To assist with increased student achievement by implementing strategies necessary to aid in improvement of student behavior.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body and keeps records of disciplinary actions.
  2. Provide interventions to students via software-based behavior management program.
  3. Assists with monitoring of student attendance, and cooperates with district and/or county attendance supervisors for investigative follow-up activities.
  4. Confers with professional staff and/or parents concerning student problems that hinder satisfactory behavioral or academic adjustment.
  5. Responsible for early identification of students experiencing behavior problems.
  6. Assists with the creation student behavior management plans.
  7. Implements strategies as outlined in student behavior plans.
  8. Provides pre-, peri-, and post- crisis intervention.
  9. Utilizes strategies as outlined in the school discipline plan and according to the Principal.
  10. Performa other duties as assigned by the Principal.
  11. Works with others consistently in a professional, cooperative, and respectful manner.
